Description
V-belts with metric pitch and metric length are referred to as metric cogged V-belts. The grooves on cogged belts run perpendicular to their length. Cogged belts are able to flex and can be used with smaller diameter wheels, or with sprocket pulleys to limit slip. These belts have metric dimensions and can transfer more torque and have more flexibility than standard V-belts. They are commonly used in industrial settings, such as textile mills, machine applications, and food processing facilities to transfer motion between pulleys with metric profiles.
